PopyLi provides an online service that allows students and professionals to anonymously rate and evaluate their peers on teamwork, reliability, and collaboration. The goal is to create genuine, human-based insights into character and performance- without revealing anyone’s identity.

2. Information We Collect

We intentionally collect as little information as possible.

a. Ratings and Written Feedback

• Users submit anonymous numeric ratings and optional written critiques about peers.
• These ratings are never linked to your name.
• The feedback is stored only in aggregated, anonymized form.

b. Account Verification

• In some cases, we may confirm that a user belongs to a specific university or organization (for example, using a university email verification code).
• Verification is used only to confirm eligibility, not to identify you within the system.

c. No Automatic Data Collection

• We do not automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, or device identifiers.
• We do not use cookies or analytics tools that follow user activity.

3. How We Use the Information

We use anonymous rating data to:

1. Generate aggregated insights about group dynamics and performance.
2. Detect patterns of bias or unfair feedback.
3. Improve the quality, accuracy, and fairness of the rating process.
4. Share only anonymized, statistical summaries with partner institutions or employers.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or marketing.

4. How Data Is Shared

We may share only anonymized and aggregated insights – such as average scores or group trends – with:

• Participating universities, companies, or research partners.
• Professional or academic institutions seeking better hiring and collaboration insights.

No identifying user data is ever shared, and individual users cannot be traced from the results.

5. Data Retention

• Anonymous ratings and written critiques may be retained to improve the validity of aggregated insights.

If you delete your account  future access to rating features will stop, but past anonymous data remains anonymized and part of the general dataset.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request confirmation that no identifying information is held about you.
• Request deletion of any stored account verification record (if one exists).

8. Children’s Privacy

PopyLi is designed for adult users in higher education or professional environments.
We do not knowingly allow use by individuals under the age of 17.

If we ever make changes to how we handle data, we will post an updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
Significant changes will be clearly communicated to users.
